Cybersecurity Analyst

About This Role

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at IAT Solutions, you will be on the front lines of defending our nation's critical infrastructure. You will monitor security events, investigate potential threats, and lead incident response efforts for federal government clients requiring the highest levels of security.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools and threat intelligence
• Conduct incident response and forensic investigations
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Create security reports and briefings for agency leadership
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies
• Conduct security awareness training for agency personnel
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST 800-53, and agency security requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
• CISSP, CEH, or equivalent security certification
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar)
• Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies
• Understanding of NIST frameworks and federal security requirements
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCIA, GREM)
• Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
• Previous experience with federal government security operations
